About Hampton Montessori School
About the Staff
Frances Taylor is the Administrator/Directress at
Hampton Montessori School. She is a graduate of the
Center for Montessori Teacher Education in North
Carolina, an AMS center with headquarters in New York.
She did undergraduate work in education at Florida
Southern, the University of South Carolina, and the
University of Idaho. Frances is a member of the National
Association for the Education of Young Children
(NAEYC), the Virginia Association of Early Childhood
Education (VAECE), and a member of the American
Montessori Society.
Berniece Hower received her AMS Preprimary
Certificate from the Virginia Center for Montessori
Teacher Training. She is a member of the American
Montesssori Society. Berniece is a graduate of the
Floride Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida
where is earned a B.S. in Ocean Engineering. Before
coming to HMS, she worked for three years at the Ghent
Montessori School.
Barbara Krziuk received her B.A. in English and a
Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics from Old Dominion
University in Norfolk, VA. She has worked for Ghent
Montessori and Greenbriar Montessori schools. She also
tutored English for the Chesapeake Public School District
as well as Hampton Refugee and Emigration. She is
currently pursuing her Montessori Certification.
